This article instructs in how to install the Google Account on one's Apple mobile device. This does not in any way grant the district access to your personal information on your device. It is an app that keeps your personal and work data separate and allows the district to distribute work apps and protect district data.

Requirements
- Your personal device running iOS 10
- MPS Google Workspace account
- iTunes account (to install the Google Device Policy app and any Google apps)
- An active version of Safari
Add your Google Workspace account to the device
- On your iOS device, open the App Store and search for a Google app, such as Gmail.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.
- You might need to enter your Apple ID and password
- When the installation is complete, open Gmail or the Google app that you installed
- Tap Sign in and then Google and then Continue.
- Sign in using your MPS Google Workspace account. (Your Google Workspace account is the account that you use for work or school.)
- If you want to receive notifications from Gmail, tap Allow.
- You will be prompted to install the Google Device Policy app
- Follow the on-screen instructions to download and install the app.
- You might need to enter your Apple ID and password
- Open Google Device Policy. Read and swipe through the information screens, and tap Continue.
- If you want to receive notifications from the app (recommended), tap Allow.
- Tap Get started and choose your MPS Google account.
- Tap Accept to agree to the Terms of Service.
- Tap the Download icon.
- Safari will open and you will be prompted to download a configuration profile, tap Allow
- Tap Close and then open your Settings app.
- Tap Profile Downloaded. (With iOS 12, this shows up at the top of the left panel menu under your Apple ID account)
- Tap Install.
- If prompted, enter your device passcode and tap Install.
- Tap Install and then Install and then Trust
- Tap Done.
- Close your Settings app.
- Open the Google Device Policy app and it should say that your device has last synced: Today and give a recent time
- If you use a personal Google account on your device, you can switch between your personal account and MPS Google Account by tapping on the profile icon in the upper right corner of the app and selecting the account
