MFA Set up through Google Authenticator
Body
- In the app store on your phone, install the Google Authenticator App

- Open the app and select "use without an account"
Google Authentication Set-up
- On your computer go to myaccount.google.com
- Select the security tab on the left
- Under "How you sign in to Google" select "2 Step Verification"
- Select "Authenticator app"
- On your phone press "Add a code"
- Then choose scan a QR code

- Scan the QR code on the computer using your phone
- If the QR code does not scan press "Enter a set up key" instead on your phone
- And press "can't scan it" on your computer
- Then enter your email in the "Account name" on your phone, and the passkey
- Make sure "Time-based" is selected from the drop down box
- When you are done setting up the code on your phone, press "Next" on your computer
- Then enter the code on your phone on the computer
- You now have Google MFA set up
Microsoft Authentication Set-up
- On your computer go to myaccount.microsoft.com
- Select "Security Info"
- Select "Add sign in method" then select "authenticator app" from the drop down menu
- Select the blue "I want to use a different authenticator app" text

- On your phone, open the google authenticator app
- Press the "+" button in the bottom right hand corner, then select "scan a QR code"
- Select "Next" on the computer
- Scan the QR code on the computer using your phone

- If you cannot scan the QR code
- select "enter set up key" on your phone
- on the computer select "Can't Scan?"
- enter your email in the "Account name" section
- and enter the keycode from the computer in the "Your key" section
- Make sure "time-based" is selected from the drop down menu
- The newest added code should be under the previous code
- On your computer, enter the bottom code from your phone
- You now have Microsoft MFA set up.
