You will need the following items. HDMI cable, USB 2.0 cable.
Disconnect any VGA cable from computer and document camera (ends will have thumb screws.)
Connect USB 2.0 cable square end (looks like the end of a loaf of bread,) into the USB port on Samsung document camera.
Plug the other end of USB cable into USB port of computer.
Plug HDMI cable into HDMI port of laptop and the other end of the cable into the HDMI port for classroom connection. This port will generally be located in close proximity to teacher desk.
If your computer is equipped with a DisplayPort you will need a DisplayPort to HDMI adaptor.
- Turn on classroom projector as well as Samsung document camera.
- If display is not auto switched to displaying laptop screen contents press the Windows key and the “P” key and either select extended or duplicate display.
- Press the Windows key and select the Windows “Camera” app.
- If laptop camera is displaying through the projector look to the upper left corner of the camera app window and select the switch camera icon (this will look like a camera with arrows going around it.)
- To display from laptop once again simply close the camera app.
