How to connect an Android device to the Midland Public Schools network.

Signing into Midland Public Schools WIFI on Android:

How to Sign Into the Midland Public Schools Network

  1. Open Settings: Swipe down from the top of your screen and tap the Gear icon, or find "Settings" in your app drawer.

  2. Navigate to Network: Tap on Connections or Network & internet.

  3. Select Wi-Fi: Tap on the word Wi-Fi (ensure the toggle is turned On).

  4. Select Midland Public Schools: Your phone or tablet will list available networks. Tap Midland Public Schools.

  5. Complete the form to connect: Enter your MPS username and password. Set CA Certificate to Use system certificates. Set Online Certificate Status to Don't validate. Then you must enter the domain which is mps.k12.mi.us.

    Google Pixel: Similar to Samsung, change the CA certificate to Use System certificates using the drop-down menu. Online Certificate Status must be set to Do Not Verify. Enter the domain. Be sure to erase the Anonymous Identity and leave this blank, and enter your MPS credentials in the Identity field and password field accordingly.

How to Forget a Wi-Fi Network

"Forgetting" the network is necessary if the password has changed.

  1. Go to Wi-Fi Settings: Follow the same steps as above (Settings > Network/Connections > Wi-Fi).

  2. Find the Midland Public Schools Network:

    • If you are currently connected: Tap the Gear icon next to the network name.

    • If you aren't currently connected: Look for Saved Networks or tap the three dots (More) in the corner to find your saved list.

  3. Remove the Network: Look for the Forget button (usually represented by a trash can icon or the word "Forget" at the bottom of the screen).

  4. Confirm: Tap Forget. Your phone or tablet will no longer automatically connect to that network.
