Follett Fine Management

Creating a Fine in Follett (Media Paras, AAs, APs, and Principals)

  1. Under the Circulation Menu, Select Fines on the Left Panel Menu

  2. Search for the student in the Find Patron box (you will want to know the asset tag of the assigned Chromebook so you may want to look that up first)

  3. Once you have located the student, select the Add Fine button

  4. From the Reason dropdown menu, select the appropriate fine:
    1. Chromebook 1st incident Co-Pay
    2. Chromebook 2nd incident Co-Pay
    3. Chromebook 3rd incident Co-Pay (this one doesn’t have a price assigned to it since this price may vary.  You can use it as a placeholder and then when Information Technology (IT) sends over the amount, you can edit the fine
    4. There are three charger fines if the student lost their charger - chose the corresponding model of the Chromebook to apply the correct fine
    5. Damaged - for students that opt out of the insurance

  5. In the Resource Item textbox, input the asset tag number of the Chromebook and Select the Go button (you will need an asset tag number for all reasons)

  6. In the Fine Notes textbox, input the ticket number and the parts that need to be replaced.

  7. Select the Save button
