For HP model X360 Chromebooks, it is common to have a power issue where nothing happens when the power button is pressed and the display refuses to activate. This can be to the extent that the power light itself does not activate when the Chromebook is plugged in to charge. The resolution for this issue is simultaneously press the following keys on keyboard: "esc"+"refresh"+"power". NOTE: the refresh key is the circular arrow key three to the right of the esc key. Once this has been performed a prompt for a recovery utility should come up on the display. Simply restarting the device will finish resolving the issue.
