How to Verify Your Microsoft Account in Office 365

In Word, Excel, or PowerPoint

1.  In any Office 365 program, in the top right corner, you will see your name, profile icon, and a small warning symbol

2. Click on your name, which will open a small pop up, and then click on "continue" next to the text "there's a problem with your account or device. Let's fix it."

3.  If prompted, sign in using your email and password. After that, you will be asked to verify yourself with two-factor authentication using the same methods you have set up for Synergy and Employee Access Center. In this case, the account is set up using the six-digit authenticator app codes.

4. At this point, your account has been verified. If you have an Office 365 application open, you may need to close and reopen it for the licensing error message to disappear.
