Installing Raptor EM Alert App on your Personal Smartphone

  1. Verify that you have a Work Profile set up on your phone.  When you display the list of apps on your phone, there should be a Personal section and a Work section as seen below.  If you do not have this, see the Setting up a Work Profile on your Android device directions 
  2. Open the list of apps and navigate to the Work section. Open the Play Store app (the apps will have little briefcases in the lower right corner of the app icon)


     
  3. Verify that Google Chrome is installed and download and install it if it hasn't been installed.
  4. Download and install Raptor EM Alerts (There is a Raptor EM app but you will need the Alerts app)
  5. Navigate back to the Work section app list and open Raptor EM Alerts
  6. Log in with your MPS Google email account
    **Note: If you get an error message at this time, try turning off your WiFi and log in.  You should be able to turn your WiFi back on after logging in.
     
  7. The screen should flip to a Google Chrome window and then flip back to the Raptor app
  8. Select the Get Started button
  9. Cell Phone only steps
    1. An Emergency Call Service screen will appear, select the next button

    2. The app will ask you to input your phone number to enable the Emergency Call Service, put in your device's phone number and select next

    3. The app will send that phone number a text message with a 4 digit code, input that code on this screen and select the verify button

    4. Select the Next button
    5. Select the Next button at the Location Services Screen

    6. Select the While using the app option on the Allow Raptor EM to access this device's location pop up screen. This pop up may give you different options depending on your Android OS version. For devices may give you the option for precise location

    7. Select the Enter button

Apple Directions
 

  1. Verify that you have Google Chrome installed on your device and install it from the App Store if needed
  2. From the App Store install the Raptor EM Alerts app (There is a Raptor EM app but you will need the Alerts app)
  3. Open the Raptor EM Alerts app and type in your MPS Google email address
  4. The app will open Chrome and you will be given a list of your Google Accounts, select your MPS Google account
  5. If the app asks for your password, type in your email address password
  6. Select Allow option on the Allow "Raptor EM Alert" 


     
  7. The screen should flip to a Google Chrome window and then flip back to the Raptor app
  8. Cell phone only steps
    1. An Emergency Call Service screen will appear, select the next button

    7. Select the Next Button
    8. Select the Next button at the Location Services Screen

    9. Select Allow While Using App on the Allow "Raptor EM Alert" to use your location popup

    10. Select the Enter button

       ** Please Note: Should you accidentally select Don’t Allow for either prompt, simply delete the app and start the process over.
